Pip and Puddles' Bucket World Tour-Trip to Saturn with Alien and Sallie

Alien here!

When Pip asked for a tour of the planet, Saturn, as part of his Bucket List Tour, I enthusiastically agreed. But due to Sallie's illness and our hectic schedule, we had to postpone our trip. This week, we finally jumped into my spaceship and headed into outer space with a few friends.

Here we are in my spaceship, flying towards Saturn.

How Saturn Got its Name
Saturn is named for the Roman god of agriculture. The Greek equivalent was Cronos, father of Zeus/Jupiter. Other civilizations have given different names to Saturn, which is the farthest planet from Earth that can be observed by the unaided human eye. Source: Nasa

Since Saturn is mostly made of hydrogen and helium, and has dangerous wind storms, we stopped on an orbiting planet for a closer look.

I'm not sure if it was the abundant consumption of beer and cheetos, but we almost left Pip behind!

Afterwards, we stopped at our favorite space martini bar for a round of drinks to celebrate our long standing friendship.

Dearest Pip, you are brighter than the stars, moon and sun. I am a better Alien for having met you. I hope we have many more adventures to come, in this time and beyond.

Book Giveaway-Selena Laurence!

This week we are excited to have a prize giveaway donated by author, Selena Laurence! One lucky commenter will receive an e-book copy of Love, Lies, and British Spies and an Amazon giftcard!

Book Blurb:

After an engagement gone terribly awry, American interior designer Eva Anderson has finally met the man of her dreams. Handsome, charming Owen Martin is one of London’s most talented musicians, and he’s head over heels for Eva to boot. They fall in love, get married, and go on a fabulous honeymoon to Paris.

But Owen forgot to tell Eva one little detail: he’s actually a top secret British spy . . . oh, and there are more than a few women in his past. Unfortunately for Eva, one of those women is the beloved younger sister of Middle Eastern terrorist Hassam Khalil. Hassam wants nothing more than revenge on Owen for defiling his sister, so he kidnaps Eva.

Owen rushes to the catacombs of Paris to rescue his new bride only to discover that she’s learned all of his worst secrets and wants nothing more to do with him. From the teashops of London to the cafes of Paris and the ports of Alexandria, Owen and Eva encounter terrorists run amok, friends with the best of intentions, guns, fangirls, and espionage galore.

But, will love ever be enough to overcome the lies of this British spy?

Sallie Fund

Sallie here!

Things have been busy at our house. I'm trying to adjust to my lack of vision. I'm a small dog, and now I have a habit of following Dawn everywhere and getting under foot. I'm constantly tripping her by accident.

Dawn says it is like I don't realize I can't see. I think I can do everything I used to do, like run around and do zoomies--only I run into the walls. Or cry at the gate to go up and down the stairs like before--only I fall if left alone. I used to love to chase squirrels but now, since I can't see them, I bark at every little noise to frighten them away. I think I just frighten Dawn instead, because she doesn't know what the heck I'm barking at.

But I have my energy back. I'm eating well and have been good with my insulin shots. The truth is I wouldn't be here, hanging out with my best friend, Alien, if it weren't for the help I received from my friends in Blogville and North Shore Animal League.

When I heard the news that NSAL started a fund in my name to help others with emergency vet bills, I was truly honored!

Here is the link: http://www.animalleague.org/support/support-rescue-medical-programs/sallies-fund.html

We are hoping to spread the word so other pet owners--who don't have the support of a loving on-line community like we did--can receive some help with medical costs.

Thanking you for your continued love and support!

We have the best friends in the universe!

Hugs,
