Translated with Secret Alien Technology:
Alien here,
Sallie was back with our friends at North Shore Animal League this week for testing. Her blood sugar level remained high. We have adjusted her insulin. Hopefully that will keep it down.
(Sallie with Dr. Mirchel at North Shore Animal League)
High blood sugar in diabetes causes the lens of the eye to swell and not focus light, which may cause blurriness and other visual problems. This impairment is not always permanent. Once blood sugar levels are restored to a healthy balance, vision may be restored. In some cases, the high blood sugar results in a clouding or fogging of the normally clear lens of the eye, also known as cataracts. This blocks light and impairs vision. Persons with diabetes tend to develop these eye problems at an earlier age than most, and the condition progresses more rapidly than in people without diabetes. Sallie has the latter and would need surgery and lots of green papers to correct it.
(Slightly blurry shot but we loved Dr. Mirchel's smile in this one)
We want to thank everyone who generously donated to the Auction For Sallie. Going on Now! There are some great items to bid on. We are overwhelmed with the love and support we've been given.

It usually takes time to get the insulin adjusted because it is generally coupled with changes in diet.

I can imagine the cost of any surgery to help Sallie would be high. I will be checking out the auction tonight. In the meantime, I hope her spirits remain high. Our pets can endure so much and continue to be happy and productive. That's a lesson for us humans.
I am glad the auction is going so good. I hope you can raise lots of money for Sallie. I can't wait to see you at the sledding event.

Good luck Sallie we know how expensive vet stuff is and we have our paws crossed for you. I am betting from your site that your momma is an X files fan, so is our mom. I hope they get your sugar straightened out soon, Sweetie. Take care
I hope Sallie gets better soon :(
Love Milo :)
My mom used to have cataracts. The doctor prescribed her with painful medicine... but then we found out that a very cheap medicine made by the Chinese worked pretty well too, we switched to it.
It only cost 10-15 php in our country and that's like $0.25 (definitely less than a dollar) on your end. It's called Piyenchin... I am not sure whether you guys have those being sold near you.
Anyway, I am glad Sallie is getting better. I forgot what kind of diet my mom used to have that dramatically reduced her diabetic tendencies but there were alot of herbs and leafy vegetables involved. Good luck, Sallie! You get better okay?
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
Big HUGS to Sallie from my Mom and lots of sloppy kisses to her from Me :)
