Christina Skye

Did you ever wake up to find your bed sprinkled with roses? I did. Dawn laughed at my surprised face and then traced a rose over my nose. Of course I tried to eat it and Dawn took them away but those rose petals were soft, and smelled really good. Do you know the saying about stopping to smell the roses? Today I am doing just that. Today I am smelling the roses, eating homemade strawberry jam, and escaping reality with a good romance. Today I am reading Christina Skye.

Dawn is a fan of Christine's historicals like Come the Dawn which stars the twelfth earl of Thornwood. (Hense the picture with the roses.) but Christine's contemporary romances and her Draycott Abbey Series are equally great and filled with adventure and intrigue. Be sure to check out Christine's website to learn more. Just click on her name! (If you click on Draycott Abbey Series you will hear an excerpt.)

And if you can, find some roses and surprise someone you love. I guarantee it will make their day.

Good Advice Sallie! We always take time to smell the roses, but we are going to go pick some for a friend now...and we do need to catch up on our reading!

Mom says she hasn't read Christina Skye in a long time, but she loves her historical romances! Maybe I can talk her into buying me some roses and staying home to read with me. Well, a girl can dream!

I was looking at my rosebushes earlier today and was surprised to find some new blooms on them! Summer is coming to a close now so I didn't think I'd have anymore buds.

Our Mom loves the smell of roses, but she yelled at us when we ate the red ones that were growing in the yard. Humans are so strange sometimes!

That is what I hate about summer going way.... more difficult to find the flowers! However, a walk amongst crisp, colorful fall leaves will do me just as well.
