Jane Feather.

Sallie here!
Resting after the hectic holidays, I curled up with one of my favorite romance authors, Jane Feather! Jane was born in England and has a great sense of detail in her historical romances. When I read them I am transported across time and sea, kind of like in Alien's spaceship, to a magical land of lords and ladies.

Here is an excerpt from the back cover of The Diamond Slipper.

"What comes to mind when you think of a diamond slipper? Cinderella perhaps? That's what Cordelia Brandenburg imagines when her godparents arrange a marriage for her with a man she's never met. A marriage that will take her to Versailles, far from the rigid confines of her childhood home. The betrothal gift is a charm bracelet with a tiny, glittering diamond slipper attached... as befits a journey into a fairy-tale future. But Cordelia-young, headstrong, and completely adorable-runs into trouble right away. "

Be sure to visit Jane Feather's website to learn more about Jane and her great books!

Sigh, I just can't get into historical romances. I am a contemporary suspense romance fan :)

Mom has read that book! Have you read The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker? Mom says there's not a lot of "heat" in the books, but the series is a fun read! She's all aflutter to read the last Fever book in a couple of weeks, too!

Oh, how the Mom longs for the old days when she had lots of reading time - that book is one she would really enjoy. Maybe we can get her to put it on her list of to-reads.

Hi! We just started our own blog, and we are going around trying to meet everyone at Pet Blogs United. Our Mama doesn't read many romance books... but she thinks that one looks kinda good! And we love the author's cool name!

That sounds really good, my friend is crazy about romances - I am more of a crime thriller myself but I will pass her the name of the author. Thanks for sharing
