We saw that video yesterday and our hearts were broken too. We keep hoping that somehow there has been some help for the two and the many more like them.

Some of the most helpless victims of this horrible disaster are our animal friends. My heart is broken a million times over.

Fortunately for these two friends, they have been rescued and are receiving care in the city of Mito. The white, injured dog is at a veterinary hospital and his guardian is being cared for at an animal shelter.

Oh, ours were when we saw that story, too! I think it's true that they were rescued.

Have you ever read Two Bobbies? It's based on a true story that happened during Hurricane Katrina about a dog and a cat both named Bobby. It's a children's book, but a very good read!

Our hearts are breaking too. It's so devastating..

There will be MANY of our furpals who are victims of the disaster, but I hope there will be more who get help.

We saw this video on Life with Dogs too... and the good news is.. both dogs are saved and sound. One is at the vet and the other dog is in shelter.

Our thoughts are with all the people and animals in Japan.

hey Sallie and Alien,

I am sorry you are both sad. It is heart-wrenching to think of what these two pups have been through, and what happened to their homes and their humans. But the good news is that both pups were rescued and are receiving treatment, and many many humans have asked to adopt them.

It is also heartwarming to see the love and loyalty that these two pups share. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the World expressed such love, loyalty, and devotion?

That is proof of the loyalty these two have for one another. It was so sad and heartbreaking. I'm glad they've been rescued but there are so many that haven't been. As days go by, we come to understand more and more just how horrible this disaster really is.
